We attended the Institute for Regional Conservation and Central Park Taekwondo Academy for an evening of fun at “Bloomin’ and Buzzin'” benefitting the Delray Beach Historical Society. In addition to the graphic design work, Jill ran promotions for the event and brought increased visibility to the rescue’s mission of helping community cats in PBC.
TBT 5K Walk & Run
Team Jill’s Next Door sponsored the water station at the TBT 5K Walk and Run Charity benefiting the Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute. The Institute opened at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and is the first open-heart program started in Palm Beach County in over 22 years. They have performed over 2,500 open-heart procedures, more than 20,000 cardiac catheterizations, and nearly 5,000 angioplasties.

The event was held in March 2023 at one of our residential complexes called The Franklin, where many of our clients call home and brought their pets along for the event. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County strive to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
HUNGRY BOWL FOOD DRIVE
In 2022, Jill partnered with four local schools, American Heritage, Western High School, William T. Dwyer High School, and Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts with five amazing students to run Pet Sitters International’s annual Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive®. The event donated thousands of pounds of food to Tri-County.
Heartfelt Art Drive
Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC donated a box of art supplies to Delray Beach’s HeARTfelt fundraiser. HeARTfelt is an Arts Garage initiative benefiting local schools and their arts education programs. Arts Garage asks residents to donate art materials and gift cards throughout the year, donating to 4 schools.

Items donated by JND include dog and cat food (wet and dry), kitty litter, poop bags, and more.

HURRICANE FOOD DRIVE
Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC supported their neighbors on Florida’s west coast by donating pet supplies on Sunday, October 9, 2022, benefitting those impacted by rising waters caused by Hurricane Ian. The food bank provides disaster meals and supplies to the hardest-hit areas in our community.

Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC joined The International Coastal Cleanup by removing waste from our beaches! ICC is the world’s largest, volunteer effort to clean up the marine environment. Volunteers from over 100 countries descend on local beaches, rivers, lakes, and canals to show their support.

HEROES IN RECOVERY 6K
Team Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC ran The Heroes in Recovery 6K in June of 2016. Their movement started because 20 million people needed substance abuse treatment the previous year and did not receive it. It takes a heroic effort to live sober, and Heroes 6K celebrates that effort.

Team Jill’s Next Door joined South Florida’s largest charitable 10K running race, benefitting dogs and cats in need. All proceeds go to Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, Florida. They are a 100% No-Kill, 501(c)3, nonprofit animal shelter working to prevent the killing of over 170,000 unwanted pets.
DELRAY BEACH TURKEY TROT
Team Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC raced South Florida’s Turkey Trot in Delray Beach in November of 2016. Proceeds from the race benefitted the Keith Straghn Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving Drive. It was the late Keith Straghn who envisioned feeding the area’s hungry and helping the community. Runners brought items to donate.

JND donated gifts to 4Kids Gift of Hope Toy Drive. 4Kids collected brand-new unwrapped toys and gift cards to ensure that every kid has presents to open on Christmas Day. 4KIDS believes in a home for every child. Whether a family is in crisis and at-risk of breaking down, siblings are coming into the foster care system, or a child needs to experience trauma-informed therapy–4KIDS brings them hope, homes, and healing to children and families in crisis.

Jill’s Next Door launched NAPPS’ Presents 4 Pets Program Pet Supply Drive benefitting Tri-County Animal Rescue. JND created an Amazon Wishlist for the rescue, and also collected goods from clients and the community to maximize donation efforts. The event donated thousands of pounds of food to Tri-County. JND also onboarded student volunteers to make homemade cat toys and hold their own pet drive in exchange for community service hours.

JND donated gifts to The Spirit of Giving Network and collected toys from local businesses to drop off at the FAU Toy Warehouse to give to children in need! he Spirit of Giving Network is a collaborative, nonprofit organization with a focus on children and families in Palm Beach County. It is a forum where nonprofits and community supporters share information, resources and best practices. Currently, there are more than 75 nonprofit member organizations meeting on a monthly basis. The group’s objective is to streamline the delivery of services to the community by working collaboratively to solve issues and improve operations through internal and external partnerships.

The response was overwhelming, with local adopters, students, JND team members and more to support animals in need! Tri-County Animal Rescue is a 100% No-Kill, 501(c)3, nonprofit animal shelter in Boca. With community support -and zero government funding- they have rescued hundreds of pets from beyond Florida borders, and even outside of the country. Since their inception, we have saved over 88,000 domestic animals and plan to continue rescuing as many as pawsible!

Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC sponsored Emerging Minds Montessori Academy’s Family Fun Day Event in January 2024 raising fund and awareness of the wonderful gifts and opportunities the academy provides for children! Emerging Minds Montessori Academy is a close-knit community embracing the independent, child-led philosophy of Dr. Montessori. They are equipped with specially designed materials to meet the student’s desire to learn and are specifically sequenced so the students have a logical process to follow. They invite children between the age of 2 – 8th grade with teachers ready and available to give individual, small group, or entire class lessons.
