Students and Local Pet Care Company Support Animal Rescue through the Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive®

Daniela Rodriguez Morales, student of American Heritage School; Jeselle Tortugo, of the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts; Dalton Everington, of Willian T. Dwyer High School; Riley McGary and Rebecca Ogliastri of Western High School has joined forces with local pet care company, Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services, LLC to support the Pet Sitters International’s Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive®. The Hungry Bowl is a pet food drive dedicated to serving the needs of animal shelters and rescue groups. The students and Jill’s Next Door placed bins around their schools and communities to collected needed items and also shared Tri-County Animal Rescue’s Amazon Wishlist so that people can donate remotely.
While planning the Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive®, Jill recognized the power in numbers and instantly thought to partner with schools to increase awareness and donation poundage. Students were immediately drawn to helping animals, and were excited to be involved in such an impactful event; while also fulfilling their school’s mandatory community service hours.

About PSI and the Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive®
The Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive® was created to collect pet food for local shelters and pet-rescue groups across the globe. Donations to animal shelters are incredibly important for providing pets in need with food, bedding, medical services, and loving, compassionate care.
Daniela, Jeselle, Brandon, Rebecca and Jill’s Next Door has collected over a THOUSAND of pounds of pet food and pet care items to donate to Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, Florida. Tri-County Animal Rescue is a 100% No-Kill, 501(c)3, nonprofit animal shelter working to prevent the killing of over 170,000 unwanted pets in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties each year.
Since this is both a pet food drop off AND an online event, the local and national community can continue to donate to Tri-County Animal Rescue through their Amazon Wishlist. Animal shelters and pet-rescue organizations across the country are in dire need of pet food and monetary donations for the coming year.
