Our Pet Food Drive Campaign

It’s here! Our National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) Presents 4 Pets Program has officially launched! We are holding a cat food drive today through December 30, 2024 benefitting Levoyd “Catman” Mitchell, Kara and Dee, who volunteer their time to feed 400 community cats in Delray Beach every day. They rely on the generous community to supply cat food to feed our legal, fixed cat population. We created an Amazon Wishlist with thousands of pounds of dry cat food for donors to purchase, then send directly to Catman and Deanne for distribution.

About Levoyd "Catman" Mitchell

Interview with Arden Moore, with the Coastal Star. Arden is an author, speaker and master certified pet first aid instructor.

For years, Catman has gathered bags and cans of donated food to feed about 200 community cats in Delray Beach every day. He pedals to specific feeding spots morning and night. He relies 100% on donated cat food and has limited government assistance. He is quiet-spoken. His focus is on helping cats who have been abandoned or born without homes.

“I have always loved animals, and I started feeding these community cats for a number of reasons. Pedaling my bike with bags of food is good exercise and good for my health. And I love when the cats see me, come out and let me pet them.”

He is also a man filled with gratitude. With the help of many, led by Delray Beach Vice Mayor Juli Casale and Jill Merjeski, founder of Jill’s Next Door Dog Walking & Pet Services LLC, Mitchell is now living in a furnished one-bedroom apartment and pedals a donated e-bike to feed the felines. Organizers were able to fulfill the Amazon wish list 100% for his apartment furnishings.

Our campaign benefits Levoyd Mitchell, Kara, and Dee, our volunteer community cat feeders.

They rely on community support -and zero government funding. They have fed hundreds of cats, while trap, neuter, and releasing to control the cat population in South Florida.

Catman, Kara, and Dee need dry cat food to feed 400 cats daily. The cats prefer Friskies dry food, and the bigger the bag, the better! We have created an Amazon Wishlist to facilitate the donation process!

You can order the cat food directly from our Amazon Wishlist, and the items will be delivered directly to Catman for distribution. You can also drop off  or ship the cat food donations to:
